Do you know whether you receive calls with this product? I tried it with iPod 5G and it charged it fine. At this point it looks like the device is not iPhone 3G compatible. There is very similar device sold on Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/iPhone-Fm-Transmitter-LCD-Display/dp/B00120GMD6/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1224193939&sr=8-3), also having this very problem.
